Movements:

1. "Shtetl Tanz" is the composer's version of a simple dance performed in a small Eastern European village
   
2. "Dos lid fun a meydl - The Song of a Girl".
   Poem, Anna Margolin (1887-1952) - 'That hour, that allure, I will always remember...I have so much fear of ceasing to yearn.'
   
3. "Klez 2" is the compser's second attempt at a tune in Klezmer style.
   
4. "Trit bay trit - Step by Step" is a brief, dark, brooding piece with an emotional outburst.
   
5. "Azoy vi mayn blik der fartrerter - Just as my glance full of tears."
   Poem, Anna Margolin (1887-1952) - 'And the play of sorrow on a sick conscience. I know so much my dear, I don't want to know any more.'
   
6. "Melancolia" is the sort of music a sad clown might dance to.
   
7. "Tchotchkis" is a trinket of little value.
   
8. "Di Kri'ye Geht - The Iceflow is moving".
   Poem, David Hofshteyn (1889-1952) - 'The iceflow breaks and begins to move on the relentless river. Giving and taking life.'
   
9. "Hanoi" To have fun.
   
10. "Narish" Silly.
    
11. "Shtil lomir ale farshvindn - Softly let us all vanish".
    Poem, Zisha Landau (1889-1937) - 'Let us escape, swim, and vanish into the stars. But quietly though, children still die of fright.'
