About
'Kintsugi’ draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold-dusted urushi (lacquer). The work was originally composed for piano trio in 2020, commissioned by NZTrio.

Originally commissioned for piano trio by NZTrio, Kintsugi for Orchestra was commissioned by the Manukau Symphony Orchestra, with funding from the Nicholas Tarling Charitable Trust.
