About

This piece is a bug the size of a symphony orchestra. Tiny sounds and instrumental colours deemed ‘too small’ for orchestral writing are amplified through the scale of orchestral forces. The orchestra is metamorphosed into a spidery sound-box of seemingly abject noises—scratches, creaks, groans, scuttles, shivers, and shrieks—that scurry back and forth between terrifying and the kitsch.
