About

These three songs, to texts by poet and playwright Michelanne Forster, were commissioned by Margo Knightbridge for performance in a fundraising concert. The texts were especially written for the singer who has been active in choral music for many years and is also one third of The Three Mezzos vocal group.

The first song is more lyrical and tells of a cat that has retired from a busy life to dream about former days running about and catching mice. The second song is about a tabby which has a mind of its own and which enjoys wandering off by itself. The final song is about calling a cat in for its meal. The three songs are preceded by short explanations from the poet.
