About
Following on from a 'Zodiac' theme I began in 1999, whereby I wrote pieces for musician friends and used their birthday numbers as a starting point (along with the characteristics of their astrological sun-sign and the actual instrument they play or voice-part they sing), the intervals in this work relate to the numbers in Douglas Mews' birthday. The subtitle 'Organis Plagalis' refers to the fact that the piece is essentially a very decorated and elongated plagal cadence.
