About
A personal response to canine nature tempered by anguish at the loss of one such companion, Nissa. Expressive gestures such as vocal sighs permeate the musical fabric; unfettered energy with the tendency to suddenly explode into action from a state of rest determines the pace. A "wiredog" is a type of staple that provides strength when nailed across a joint. Wire Dogs was composed in 2000 and first performed by Ross Carey in 2008. It has since been performed by Wojciech Wisniewski in Jack Richards's summer concert series, and recorded on one of the Waiteata Collection of New Zealand Albums.
