Chris Prosser: Flight

Performer/ Composer Chris Prosser recorded the music in three sessions, two pieces a night , in the order that it appears on this CD with only one take for each track. He says, ‘Truthful things are spoken that way and a certain narrative sense is detectable....what has just been realised cannot in essence be repeated.’ Prosser explores a wide range of possibilities on the violin, with every track using a different scordatura tuning, combined with the delicate drone of the Indian Tanpura.
