The simplicity of the round as a musical form belies the subtlety of this music. Jonathan Besser created this music initially as sketches, before handing them to a trusted ensemble, Bravura, to become the complex fusion of musical flavours that is Turn. The title alludes to more than just compositional structure, as a stylistic arc through folk, jazz, and classical terrain ultimately arrives at a sound that is itself curvaceous, gentle, feminine, and poignant.
