The Tower New Zealand Youth Choir set out on a tour of Eastern Europe culminating in the 43rd Seghizzi International Choral Competition in Gorizia, Italy. Led by internationally acclaimed conductor Karen Grylls, they hone their performances of Maori and Western repertoire to enraptured audiences in spectacular venues. Observing them in rehearsal, and performance, we discover that focus on technical detail and a passion for singing is what allows the Choir to excel. But as the Competition looms, one question stays in the musicians' minds: will they be able to make their mark at the highest level of choral performance?
