Anapela Polata’ivao talks about her vision for Alofagia: Le Opera, an original Pacific opera that premiered in February 2019 at Nathan Homestead.
This multisensory experience featured the powerful operatic voices of tenor brothers, Pene and Amitai Pati, and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay - better known as Sol3 Mio - with guest artists and local community members.
Directed by Anapela Polata’ivao, composition by Poulima Salima and choreographed by Tupua Tigafua (TAPA). This was the second production to be staged by TAPA, in association with Nathan Homestead, and celebrating the rich talent of South Auckland.
