Adrian Sherriff is a lecturer in music at Melbourne Polytechnic, an actively performing trombonist and musicologist specialising in the music of South Indian master drummer Karaikudi R. Mani. His presentation at the Composers Association of New Zealand conference addressed similarities between Mani's approaches to rhythmic transformation and the classification and manipulation of pitch in Jenny McLeod's Tone Clock Theory.
