The follow up to his 2002 release, "The Bells":http://sounz.org.nz/manifestations/show/14565 , Modigliani sees pianist Norman Meehan's new quartet touch on jazz, rock and drum'n bass.
Meehan is particularly pleased with the looseness and interaction the group achieved on the new recording and delighted with how completely the musicians inhabited the music.
The quartet features Daniel Ryland on guitar (Odessa), Nick Tipping on bass (Ford Tipping Wise Trio) and Reuben Bradley on drums (The Vibrant Tongues).
