Enjoy a myriad of single movements, like a tasting platter full of vibrant, piquant music from Spain, Argentina, Brazil, and beyond. Works by Ravel, Piazzolla, Cassadó and Albéniz will be ‘served’ alongside fresh toe-tapping local delicacies by kiwis Claire Cowan and Alex Taylor.
Joining founding member of NZTrio, Ashley Brown (cello) are Concertmaster for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Andrew Beer (violin) and internationally renowned solo artist/Senior lecturer at Auckland University School of Music, Stephen De Pledge (piano). This powerhouse ensemble of New Zealand’s best have each played extensively throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia, with performances broadcast on TV and radio networks worldwide, and have multiple recordings and accolades to their names.
