Programme:
Beethoven - Triple Concerto

Lilburn - Suite for Orchestra
Debussy - Nocturnes 1&2
The Te Kōkī Trio, New Zealand School of Music’s ensemble in residence, performs Beethoven’s Triple Concerto under the baton of conductor Kenneth Young in the first concert of the year by the New Zealand School of Music Orchestra. The Te Kōkī Trio comprises three full-time members of the staff from the New Zealand School of Music – Martin Riseley (violin), Inbal Megiddo (cello) and Jian Liu (piano). Brahms’ turbulent Tragic Overture provides the concert moody opener, with Debussy’s Nocturnes 1&2 and Lilburn’s Suite for Orchestra of 1955 completing the programme.
