Your opportunity to hear the best young wind players from the New Zealand School of Music playing works by New Zealand composers, a requirement of the competition.
The performers are Hayden Sinclair (clarinet), Kylie Nesbit (bassoon), Hannah Darroch (flute), Alexandra Chan (bassoon) and Andre Nowicki (clarinet). Alexandra Chan will play her own work, Aolean Song while Kylie Nisbet will play a work for bassoon and gamelan by fellow student, Andre Nowicki. Other competitors have chosen works by Douglas Lilburn, Gareth Farr and Ross Harris.
